Long Island Pepper Company Return & Refund Policy

Overview

We stand behind our sauces. If you ordered from our website and you’re not satisfied, we’ll make it right—up to and including a full refund under our Satisfaction Guarantee (details below).

Because hot sauce is a food product, we do not accept returns of opened bottles. In most cases, refunds are handled without requiring you to ship anything back.

1) 100% Satisfaction (Money-Back) Guarantee

If you don’t like the sauce, you can request a 100% refund of the product price.

Eligibility


  • Must be purchased directly from the Long Island Pepper Company website.

  • Request must be made within 30 days of delivery.

  • Applies to 1 bottle per flavor per order (we’ll refund the bottle(s) you didn’t like, within reason).

  • To prevent abuse, we may limit satisfaction refunds to one claim per customer/household every 12 months and/or request a quick photo of the bottle(s) and order number.

What we refund


  • The product price paid for the item(s) you didn’t like.

What we do not refund


  • Shipping fees (unless the issue was our mistake—see Sections 2 and 3).

  • Gifts/promo items (unless defective).

2) Damaged, Leaking, or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, leaking, or defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery.

We may request photos of:


  • The damaged item(s)

  • The shipping box and packing materials

Resolution options (our choice based on the situation)


  • Replacement shipped at no cost, or

  • Full refund (including shipping, when appropriate)

3) Wrong Item or Missing Item

If we sent the wrong product or something is missing, contact us within 7 days of delivery.

We will:


  • Ship the missing/correct item at no cost, or

  • Refund the incorrect/missing item (including shipping, when appropriate)

4) Returns (Food Product Policy)

For safety and quality reasons:


  • Opened bottles cannot be returned.

  • Unopened bottles are generally not accepted for return either (food handling), but if you believe you have a unique situation, contact us and we’ll review it case-by-case.

5) Refund Method and Timing


  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

  • Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 3–10 business days, depending on your bank/card issuer.

6) Orders Not Purchased From Our Website

If you purchased Long Island Pepper Company products from a retailer, marketplace, or restaurant, their return/refund policy applies. You can still reach out to us—we’ll try to help—but we cannot guarantee refunds for third-party purchases.

7) Exchanges

We do not offer traditional exchanges for food items. If something went wrong (damaged/wrong/missing), we’ll replace it or refund it as described above.

8) How to Request a Refund

Please provide:


  • Order number

  • Which sauce(s) the request relates to

  • A quick note on the issue (didn’t like it, arrived damaged, wrong item, etc.)

  • Photos (required for damage/leaks; may be requested for guarantee claims)

9) Policy Abuse / Fraud

We reserve the right to deny refund requests that show patterns of abuse (e.g., repeated claims across multiple orders, excessive claims, inconsistent information).
